Hello! Polly Karen here bring you another installment of the popular Polly Picks! Every two weeks we ask one of our staff members to choose their favorite products in the shop. Jewelle (mrspotts) is a long time scrapper. I remember seeing her in forums and in galleries before I even found The Lilypad and I’ve been here since 2008! She is always pushing boundaries and trying new things. I remember seeing her hybrid projects before hybrid was really even a thing! Jewelle is a trend setter like that! :) Not only can she rock the hybrid projects including some of the cutest cards I’ve ever seen, but she also does amazing layouts and even does some pocket style pages too! I asked Jewelle to describe her style, and this is what she had to say:
“Scrapbooking serves two purposes for me. The first being to scrap the memories I create with my family. The second purpose is to express the creative side of me. Whether I am creating a hybrid project or digi page these purposes are always floating in my mind and greatly influence what I scrap. Most of my layouts take on a clean and simple look, but they also always contain layers! A big title with ample journaling to tell the story behind the layout can be found on every layout I make. I also love to add paint, stitching, and washi to most layouts. To complete my layouts I like to sprinkle a few elements around the page to add a bit off pizzazz. If you take a peek at my hybrid projects, cards, and project life pages you would see that they display the same characteristics as my digi layouts. ”
